Community Programs

Educating the community is so vitally important to ensuring ASD children have the same opportunities in life as others and that they have every advantage in life. While 1 in 110 children receive a diagnosis of autism or Autism Spectrum Disorders and it continues to rise at alarming rates, many people are unaware of how the disorder threatens to rob these children of a future.

Through our community education and awareness training programs, we reach out to the broader circle of people beyond family that will have direct interactions with an ASD child. We ensure that they are better prepared to address that child’s special needs and help them be able to achieve more out of life.

Our workshops are designed to help businesses, educators, medical providers, parents, and community members be more aware, be more effective, and be more nurturing of an ASD child. They are on teaching techniques to use with ASD children, transition skills and services, Project Safety Net (preparing individuals for emergency situations), first responder training, community awareness of autism and other related developmental disabilities, and SCIP-R (de-escalation techniques).
