First, it’s important to know, You Are Not Alone.
There are hundreds of families going through similar experiences in raising an Autistic child, and many more than you realize right here in our community. Being able to reach out and help others who are struggling to understand the disorder and what it the future will be for their ASD diagnosed son or daughter is so important to the well-being of the family. It’s what The Autism Council is all about.

We know that raising a child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder
can take a toll on two-parent and single parent families alike.
It can add immense stress to the marriage and
become a strain on relationships.

Second, there is Hope and Help.
Our family and sibling support groups offer an environment of support and understanding where families can help each other by sharing their experiences of coping with the impact of the disorder.

Family Support Group – Our Family Support Group helps families bond with other families who can fully understand the challenges of raising an ASD child. It offers them the opportunity to share successes and learn from each other’s experiences.

SiblingSupport Group
Just like our family support group brings families together in a supportive environment, our Sibling Support Group helps Siblings understand Autism and help them be able to interact with and bond with their sibling.
